Details About Our Cremation Urns

| Our leather urns are hand sewn by American craftsmen using
tradional European hand stitching methods, a skill rarely found
today. After sewing, we wet mold the leather around a stainless
steel liner that provides a safe and stable resting place for
your loved one. Once dry, the urn can be engraved and shipped
along with an elegant flannel bag. These urns are made in small
quantities each month because of the many hours required to
produce each piece. |

Many hours are devoted to each hand carved
finial. All of our finials are carved from select cherry or
maple and then hand rubbed with a special formula of bee's wax,
linseed oil and varnish. For our finial designs, we use subjects
either found in nature or classic architecture.
|
| Our shaker inspired cremation urns
are faithful to techniques that date back to the late 1700's.
We boil, bend and fasten the wood with wooden pegs and copper
tacks. No glue is used. This will allow your urn to expand and
contract with changes in the environment. |
|
Our stainless steel liner will provide a safe, clean and
stable resting place for the precious remains that it holds.
Our double plied flannel bags are hand sewn,
again right here in the U.S.A., as are all the components
of your cremation urn. We make all of our products with thought
and care.
